Non-native tree species of European origin and the only pine tree native to Great Britain. It is often considered the first introduced tree species in North America. Sharp pointed twisted needles occur in bundles of two per fascicle. Notable bark is an orange-brown color and sometimes flaky on the upper areas of the trunk. In cultivation it can reach a height of 30 - 60 ft. Commonly grown as a Christmas tree. Also often called Scots Pine.
