On a leisurely walk around Normandale's Campus one can find a diversity of tree species representative of central Minnesota. It is hoped that this guide will create a way for students and visitors to enjoy our campus as well as learn about common tree species that enhance our grounds.
There are a number of ways to use this guide.
> SCAN THE QR CODE: As you walk around campus look for the numbered and labeled signs on select tree. Located on the signs is a QR code that you can scan with your cell phone that will link to this website for more information about the tree species. Taking a photo of the QR code with most cell phone cameras will bring up the link without the need for a dedicated QR reader app. QR scanning apps can be downloaded for android phones and multiple devices at www.scan.me
> NAVIGATE TO THE TREE SPECIES PAGE: Clicking on the 'Species' button will take you to a list of all the identified species covered by this site. Each species page contains photographs, line drawings and descriptive information about each identified tree.
> USE THE MAP: Navigate to the map page for an interactive Google Map of Normandale campus and the identified trees. Clicking on the number will provide you with an identification and brief description of the tree species.
